UC Santa Cruz / Cabrillo College Housing Partnership Program
UC Santa Cruz and Cabrillo College have partnered to offer Cabrillo College students an affordable university housing option with current UCSC students.
Students enrolled in a minimum of twelve units at Cabrillo College, with a 3.0 GPA or higher, are eligible to participate in the housing partnership program and live at the UCSC University Town Center, on a space-available basis.
The University Town Center (UTC) is located at 1101 Pacific Avenue in downtown Santa Cruz. Amenities include:
- Furnished two-person studio apartments, with private bathrooms and kitchenettes
- Internet, cable TV, and utilities included
- Laundry room with card-operated washers and dryers
- Community lounge with large screen TV and full kitchen for community events, and a study lounge
- The UTC is a smoke-free facility in all indoor areas, including students’ rooms

Staff and Programming
The UTC has a live-in manager and student staff to assist residents with emergencies, day-to-day residential issues, and to plan activities.
Student Life
Students are provided with a quality residential life experience and are eligible and encouraged to participate in all programming activities, residential life meetings and programs. The diverse student population at the UTC includes UCSC sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as Cabrillo College students. All students are held to the same community standards and expectations.

Who is eligible?
Students enrolled in a minimum of twelve (12) units at Cabrillo College, with a 3.0 GPA, and in both financial and judicial “good standing” (as determined by Cabrillo College Dean of Student Services).
How do I request housing?
Begin the process by contacting the Dean of Students Office at Cabrillo College to fill out an interest form. The Dean of Students will verify you meet the eligibility requirements and inform the University Town Center of your interest.
How many spaces are available?
A limited number of spaces are available (number to be determined). If you are interested, please apply with the Dean of Students Office at Cabrillo College and the University Town Center Manager will contact you regarding your request for housing.
Is housing available during the summer?
We do not host any students over the summer. Housing is available during the academic year only.
Is a meal plan included in the housing contract?
No, the contract does not include a meal plan. Each apartment has a kitchenette and students also have access to the full kitchen in the community lounge to prepare meals.
How do I pay for my housing?
You will have a UCSC billing account and will receive a billing statement of all charges due. Housing charges must be paid to UCSC’s Cashier Office. You may not pay your housing at Cabrillo College.

A late fee of $25.00 may be assessed on any missed or incomplete payment.
Is financial aid available to assist me with housing costs?
Contact the Cabrillo College Financial Aid Office for questions regarding financial aid.
Is there parking available for students?
Parking is not included. All lots are operated by the City of Santa Cruz and a permit is required.
