Before Posting
Before posting a rental on our website, review our office's Guiding Principles (PDF). For the best compatibility with our system use Internet Explorer.

Instructions for First Time Users

  1. Submit an application for a password. Click the link "Post a Rental Here" to enter the program.
  2. Click "Post New Rental" located on the left side of the new screen. The link to request a password is below the password box. Fill out the requested information and submit.
  3. Our office reviews all password requests. It may take a few hours for our staff to respond and e-mail your password. Passwords are sent Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm. (We are closed on weekends and holidays - view campus calendar.)
  4. Once you have received your password, follow the next steps.

Instructions for Posting your Rental

  1. Click the "Post a Rental Here" link above to enter the program again.
  2. Click on “Post New Rental,” enter password, and click “Submit.”
  3. Fill out the form. The unit type, number of bedrooms/baths, features and amenities, general location, and address cannot be modified after the posting is submitted.
  4. Upon completing the form, click "Continue to Step 2" and review your listing before submitting. If you need to make corrections click on “Correct.”
  5. When finished, click on “Continue to Step 3.” You will immediately receive a listing code. Keep that number to access the posting to modify or delete later.
  6. If you accidentally submit a listing with incorrect information, in the fields mentioned in point "3", you will have to delete your listing and begin again.
  7. Your listing will be posted after the Community Rentals staff has approved it. It will remain posted for 30 days from the date you submitted it, unless you delete or renew it sooner.
  8. You may extend your listing for an additional 30 days at any time prior to its expiration.
  9. You may view a sample here of how ads appear to prospective tenants.

Tips for Using the Housing Registry

  1. For a room in shared housing, do not select number of bedrooms and bathrooms, just “room in shared housing” and whether it has a private bathroom.
  2. The address won’t show online unless you check the display address box.  You can list the neighborhood or nearby intersection with the General Location box.
  3. Your listing will always show as AVAILABLE NOW, unless you specify an available date in the future.
