Housing for Students with Families
Family Student Housing offers a unique living experience for UCSC students and their families.
A eligible family may consist of a UCSC student and:
- their child/children
- their spouse or adult partner
- a parent or sibling
In addition:
- US Veteran (single veteran housing is available)

Some of the benefits of living at Family Student Housing are:
- Rent that is below the average for the Santa Cruz area (see rates below)
- Spacious (1,000 sq. ft.) two-bedroom apartments, most including either a balcony area or a small yard
- Family Student Housing apartments are unfurnished
- Kitchens with electric range and refrigerator
- Cable modem and television service included
- Laundry facilities with card-operated washers and dryers
- Community Safety Officer services on evenings and weekends
- Onsite Child Care and Early Education center
- A variety of educational enrichment opportunities and co-curricular programming are included in the residence rate
