Night Safety Escort Service
The UC Santa Cruz Police Department, in partnership with the campus Community Safety Program, has instituted a nighttime Safety Escort Service.
This service is not intended to replace existing services such as the Metro buses and University shuttles or to discourage students from walking in groups. The service is available to anyone who prefers an alternative to walking alone or in a small group at night.
Those using the service are given a ride by a trained University professional in a University vehicle or escorted on foot by a Community Safety Officer.
